Zoloft for anxiety. The first 7 days were great and I was feeling pretty good. Yesterday I was suppose to begin 50 mg, but my anxiety was so high and today my anxiety is high again. Is this normal? Will the Zoloft eventually start to work and help with my anxiety-how long? I thought since my anxiety didn't increase the first week, I would be OK, now I'm starting to wonder. Anyone have similar experiences?
If you can stick with it a little longer and increase it, you will get used to it and the side effect will go away. It takes up to a month for the full effect of zoloft. A lot of people experience feeling better the first few days, kind of a honey moon effect. Then you start with the side effects.
