Four weeks ago I switched from 15mg Cipralex to 50mg Zoloft and then a week later increased to 75. I’m now 4 weeks in without relief of anxiety, shouldn't I be seeing some improvement? I thought it’d be faster. Will it still take 6 to 8 weeks? I’m feeling very defeated and worried it’s not working. Please answer.
Hi, Gej! The therapeutic dosage depends on your metabolism but is generally 50-200mg/daily and until you reach the correct dosage for your needs you may not see much improvement. Try to be patient and give the medication a "fair trial" because you will probably find it was well worth the wait!
"Sleep, energy, or appetite may show some improvement within the first 1-2 weeks. Improvement in these physical symptoms can be an important early signal that the medication is working. Depressed mood, anxiety, and lack of interest in activities may need up to 6-8 weeks to fully improve.

I'm on 50mg of Zoloft and it took a good 6 to 8 weeks for me. After week 4 I started feeling better and it just kept getting better, now I feel great. Just hang in there it will pay off believe me.
