I have been taking 50 mg of Zoloft and have not felt like it was working even when I was taking 200 mg. I am going back up to 100 mg or I can switch to Celexa or something else. Just wondering what other people's experiences are or if you prefer one or the other. I am concerned with weight gain yet anxiety and depression have been a challenge. It's ok if you respond more than once.
This is a good question. I was on celexa, but, got off it because I heard it was not good for anyone over 60 that had any kind of heart condition. I was not on it long enough to see how it would have really worked. I am on 50mg of zoloft now. I don't think it is working either. I am going to my dr on the 25th and see if she will up it to 100mg. My husband is on 100mg zoloft and he has been doing great on it.
My doctor gave me 50mg for a week then bumped me up to a 100mg the next week. It took about 4 weeks to actually work, but I forgot to take it with me over thanksgiving break. It wasn't good and after trying 3 different other kinds. I was deemed hypersensitive to SsRI and anti-depressants.
So it's very important to make sure you take it at the same time every day.

Zoloft can cause false positive test for benzo. Can Celexa do the same d/t it being an SSRI as well?
