... years with a 13 year old son. My son is very happy and healthy and we have a great relationship. My marriage is strong but we have communication problems that lead to shouting matches, name calling, etc. Trying to find ways to bridge our gaps. I've just started on zoloft after telling my doctor about depressive thoughts, bottomed out self-esteem, etc. Can anyone recommend a support group?
delcar; Sounds like you are doing pretty good, Make sure your open with your wife about what you are feeling. I know things just get overwhelming at times, You might just look in the phone book and see what type of help is available in your area. Also if you go to the top of your page there is a search bar, Type in the name of your medication and there are support groups for Zoloft or type in other things and see what you can find. They are free and you can chat with people with similar problems. But really this is a tough time for you and your family. It might be good if you check out some family support groups or for couples I know my Insurance company has many free classes and also the Hospital holds many classes for people that you may want to get involved with. But if you and the Wife can try and talk about how your feeling and see if she well go to them with you for your child all the better. oh also if you are involved with a church they also have couples talk to the administrator. Best of luck. And know that if you just started the Zoloft sometimes the side effects make you feel worse before you feel better for the first couple of weeks so don't be surprised and also 2 to 4 weeks into the medication you should start to notice some difference but it can take from 6 to 8 weeks to reach the full blood level. Also very important that you don't miss any days and try and take it about the same time each day. Have a good one. You can do this for your family Chuck1957
