... was doing fine no side effects aside for eating I was very happy my obsession went away the third week my doctor up Zoloft to 100 mg from 50 mg I'm waiting to feel the full effects but I don't understand why I felt so good the first two weeks and then everything went back to the way I was feeling before I took Zoloft waiting for the results to kick in
Hi, Cotrina! You probably began to feel some improvement on your initial dose but as your metabolism adjusted to that dose you still weren't in your therapeutic range to feel even better and your initial optimism waned. Since the therapeutic dose can reach up to 200mg/day for some folks your increase will put you in an even better range.
"Sleep, energy, or appetite may show some improvement within the first 1-2 weeks. Improvement in these physical symptoms can be an important early signal that the medication is working. Depressed mood, anxiety, and lack of interest in activities may need up to 6-8 weeks to fully improve."
Try to be patient... all will be better soon! Zoloft is amongst the top three medications for depression/anxiety according to clinical studies and user reviews.
Best regards, Wildcat
