Please tell us in the comments what state you reside in. Washington State has banned Zohydro as Satan's medicine basically and my doctor in Seattle is forbidden to sell it due to HB 2876 signed in 2010 that demonizes Opioids.
Hi Chris, I can totally sympathize with your problem. Been waiting to see how many posts were going to be made before I started my little rampage. Texas still prescribes hydrocodone. But new laws coming out. The government is on a champagne to limit opioid suspension. I was just at my PM Doc this week. He reduced my meds pretty drastically. The PM docs all got a huge document outlining dosages, to who, for what, and how much. My doc is by the book. The gov. basically is trying to elimit all opioid use to chronic pain sufferers. Cancer pt's. will still be treated but very carefully, and watched very closely!!
Chris; In the U.S These are in all states it's if you can find a doctor that well prescribe them now that big brother is pulling all the BS on any opium product and the amount of deaths from it. So even doctors that know you would be a good candidate for this medication are scared to write a Rx.We get a lot of questions and I was going to block you then I do this rarely But WE ALL DON'T WANT TO GET KNOWN AS A DRUGGIE BOARD we get a lot of strange requests. And most of us feel the same. This board has pretty high standards which we stick around here because of the great people. But what the FDA is doing is just wrong.
AND the doctors suffer from not being able to prescribe chronic pain patients what they need. And one of the studies I was just reading a couple days ago is so full of faults this is a joke and where they are getting their numbers from When this was on the new's the other day there talking about Vicodin use but on the tv screen there is a teaspoon of white powder a surgical hose and a hype syringe laying across all of this what the hell does that have to do with us normal people that just want the edge of the pain cut down. There studies where with heroin users and not many of us are going to switch from Vicodin to street drugs but the numbers were combined with street drugs so, of course, there is going to me more overdoses. They are going to have to figure out something soon because there is no reason for anyone to suffer from chronic pain. It was not that long ago there were signs in hospitals and doctors office's that you have the right to not suffer from pain, Now it's all swinging the other way.FDA should let the good doctors do their job and not worry about them coming down on them most the bad doctors they slapped there hands years ago. I wish you luck but please don't blame the doctors.this is all politic's now.chuck1957, by the way, have a great weekend and hope things work out for you. I am sorry if I have errors in here I can't see well due to after effects of chemotherapy don't know what is worse the treatment or the after effects. But I well never do it again. even with stage 4 cancer I still had problems getting pain medication. TIME FOR A BIG CHANGE AROUND IN WASHINGTON. CHUCK.
Chris, I just noticed we are not far from each other. But I think we really have to balance out the old people in the house and senate that well not even do any kind of work now that it's one party and no end in sight with the 3-year-olds they have running for the highest office. But we have to off balance the house and senate to get them to work for the people again.track this down and you well find that many of these stupid ideas are coming out of the political parties that want to put us back 100 years but we need new blood.I myself am happy with our senators in Oregon but these ones that have been there so long that they don't care they get free health care and more money and only work a short period. Anyway, did you try a pain clinic regulations are a bit different for the pain doctors.WELL, MY RANT IS OVER TO BLURRY FOR ME SORRY AGAIN JUST FED UP AFTER OVER 40 YEARS OF PHARMACY WORK GLAD IM OUT. CHUCK1957
