Zinc oxide is it good for acne scar treatment?
No, There are some good scar treatments out there now, but zinc oxide would just make you look like a clown.
Zinc oxide can be drying and is used as a protective barrier against moisture, like for babies diaper areas. It can also be a sun block. I doubt it would do much for acne scarring. Talk to your dermatologist. There are a lot of new treatments available.
Definitely not Zn Oxide. Used in hospitals to prevent skin breakdown from frequent diarrhea, and actually called butt paste. But there's many for scars, including Vit E. I talked to my pharmacist. Dermatologists can take months to get into if you don't have one, so you could start there. Good luck!
I had a bad car accident when I was in my 20's and ended up with a bad scar on my face from the glass in my car window! My plastic surgeon had me get Vitamin E gelcaps. What you do is you take a pin and poke a few holes in a gelcap and take the Vitamin E oil and rub it into the scars and you do this everynight before bed and then wash your face every morning. The Vitamin E helps to reduce and soften the scars! It worked for my face and it worked on my scars from both of my C-Sections! It does not totally remove the scars, but it can help to reduce them. Hope this helps!
