You can take these two drugs together. They are NOT contraindicated. There is just a caution that taking these drugs together can cause a drop in blood pressure. Just be aware that this may occur and be sure not to stand up too quickly. Stand up slowly and give yourself time to gain your equalibrium before you take off walking so that you dont fall. You might want to try first taking these drugs while you are at home just to see how you react. If you find extreme fatigue or pronounced dizziness, you will want to discontinue taking the Xanax and ask your Dr what other options you have. I know of a great many patients who take these drugs together with no problems.
