My husband stepped on a rusty nail, it went through his shoe and barely punctured the skin I had to really squeeze the bottom of his foot to get a lil blood, im not sure if he needs to go get the shot or not its been well over ten yrs that hes had one.. hes very stubborn and says hes not going, im just worried even though it barely went in .. thanks in advance
When do you need to get a tetanus shot?

If its been over 10 years he needs to get one now. I know my husband would be just as stubborn but here's my theory... Why take the chance? Why risk it?
Hi, Tetanus injections should be given at least every 10 years. I used to work as a veterinary nurse, so had to be sure i kept up to date. Of course, daily hazards could compromise your health such as you have experienced, it's a little time out of your day, to prevent potential threats to your health.
