I have pain at back base of my scull could this be tendonitis I have had it for 3 months now went for all test for my head nothing shows Dr thinks it could be tendonitis but from what I have read that is in your joints.
Yes, there is a shared tendinous insertion into the base of the skull to which several posterior neck muscles connect. You will feel it along the "occipital" region. Fluoroquinolones like ciprofloxacin ("Cipro"), levofloxacin ("Levaquin"), and moxifloxacin ("Avelox") can affect it.
Just a warning: the insertion of the iliotibial band can also be affected by Cipro, Levaquin, and Avelox but you won't see that mentioned in the package insert either.
