Hi, my son is a physio and he said as soon as you get the all clear from the doctor after stitches are out and he says it's healing nicely, you can start your hydrotherapy, no driving for insurance reasons and get someone to go with you until you are confident of getting in and out of the pool and can shower and dress securely. You don't want to fall over or feel unstable. Hope this is helpful. Lisa..p.s. You need an exercise program that you follow religiously. You need to be doing the right exercises and to be doing them correctly. A pool physio can be paid to accompany you in the pool to start with. Not too long either to start with.
