Have you tried taking an analgesic? You could try acetaminophen, aspirin, or ibuprofen. If the pain is really bad try taking a combination pain killer that also contains codeine - ask your pharmacist for advice.
Headache is a reported side effect of sulfamethoxazole.
See your doctor if the pain is unbearable or you experience other symptoms such as slurred speech, fever and vomiting, visual changes or stiff neck.
