My father is 85 and has advanced stage COPD. He has always had issues with depression but only now prescribed Cymbalta 60 mg daily. He's been taking it for 2 weeks and we have not seen any improvement. He'd going through inpatient PT and OT after a month long hospitalization for a severe exacerbation and pneumonia. He walked into the hospital on his own power, but now lost all his leg and arm strength.
I'm sorry to here about your father's condition my momma had COPD , and the exacerbations can be devastating. OT & PT should help build his strength back up. It takes A healthy person up to 12 Weeks to feel considerably better. He may start to feel something in as little as two. I Hope he starts to feel better soon.
