By Karen Frush M.D. , P.I,,, Doctor K. Frush recommends that children longer than the Broselow tape should be treated with "ADULT DOSAGES AND EQUIPMENT". Do others agree with Doctor K. Frush above cited recommendation? Thank you in advance for any and all help in this matter!
Its been quite a while since I was a nurse in pediatrics but it would make me nervous. I've been trying to find her article and I did find info on her, it seems she has some major credentials in pediatric emergency medicine. I can see where in the field the tape would be a life saver, but when there is a scale available I'd probably want to get a weight in a case like this. Besides the new stretchers have a scale in them.
