I wanted to start a new Birth control pill when my period began. My period started today, and yesterday I had sex and my boyfriend pulled out but I'm still a little paranoid. I'm wondering if I should take Plan B anyway (considering I got my period today, less than 24 hours after the sex so ovulation is unlikely), and if I do take it, is it also safe to start birth control, or is it hormone overload?
Are your periods always regular? If so, & it was definitely your period that you got today, then there is no way you'll get pregnant, & do not need Plan B.
You can start your new birth control, either way.

If I double up on birth control pills (take two each day) for the first week, can I have sex sooner?
