About a month ago I had sex with my boyfriend and there was no protection and he didn't pull out. And my period hasn't come so I was wondering if I had to take the placebo pills for me to get my period. Also I haven't finished the rest of my regular pills and I've slipped up taking them a few times
Hi Dakota, when you miss a pill you are supposed to double up the following day. Miss 2 days and you have to start over. I doubt that you are adequately protected at the moment.
You do not need to take the placebo pills to get your period, they do absolutely nothing except remind you to take a pill. You get your period naturally when you start the placebos as it causes hormonal withdrawal bleeding.
My advice to you now would be to take a home pregnancy test or get tested for pregnancy. Hopefully you will be lucky but you have been quite vague about dates so it may be better to be safe than sorry.
