I was put on Norethindrone Acetate and it is not agreeing with me. It does what it is suppose to do, it helped stop so much bleeding but there are side effects. Nausea, bloating. I am gaining weight.
My Primary Care Physician wrote me a prescription for it, and I took it to a Compounding Pharmacy. Sometimes the 'regular' pharmacies, like Walgreens, have notices posted saying that they do compounding.
Besides the bio-identical, compounded progesterone, my doc also has me on Prometrium, which is a regular Rx that I fill at Walgreens.
If there are no Compounding Pharmacies near you, go to the bookstore and look up Suzanne Somers' books in the Health/Medical section. She always has lists in the back, and I'm pretty sure she would have these listed. Then, you can have your doctor either call in directly to them with his Rx, or you could probably mail it to them, and they will ship you the product.
Hope this helps--good luck!
Mary, the madhatter.
PS: I get my injectible Delestrogen thru WALGREENS SPECIALTY PHARMACY, #10997, which is located in PA, even though I am in FL.
Their number is: 888-347-3416. Again, your doctor would have to call in the script for you. Once it is set up, they are VERY nice to deal with--- I have my Rx set up on Auto Pay on my credit card--- they even call you every month to remind you when it is time for your refill. (There may be other centers around the U.S., but I don't know of them. You could call this number and ask.)
