im starting to get a bladder infection and my friend had some bacrim left when she had one in december of 2012. she gave them to me to take and didnt know if i could tae them since they were back nin december
The pills should have a date on them. They are probally fine, but antibiotics should always completed. Maybe there will be enough to help you. Drink plenty of water to flush out the bacteria. also, if you take cranberry pills everyday it helps keep bacteria from sticking to the walls of the bladder. Also women should wipe from front to back and always urinate after sex.
She should not have any pills left. You will not have enough to do a full course of treatment either. When the full course of an antibiotic is not taken, you don't get rid of all the bacteria and the infection can come back. It can also create a bacteria that is resistant to Bactrim. Get your own prescription for it. Bactrim is cheap.
