i know this sounds silly but i have been dealing with servier facail pain that sticks to one side of my entire head. i have had many tests and trials but nothing has been diagnosed. my doctor has perscribed me this to try but im really concerned of the side affects and the fact we dont no if its nerve damidge or not.
I always recommend not reading the side effects of any prescription unless signs appear. When we do this, our subconscious can create these symptoms. That doesn't make anyone labeled ... but it can and does happen. Some meds are created to work for a specific purpose, while many others can treat one issue, they are used for many other conditions. Beta blockers are used for many uses. Talk this over with your pharmacist! The pharmacist has your history at their fingertips and they study meds and should always be able to help you understand how a medication or a combo of meds can be beneficial to you specifically. Good luck
Hello lilly and welcome to DC. I am proactive in my care and soubds like you are, too. It does appear that your doctor is trying to help you. Reading those side effects might scare any one. They are there to inform you so you know what to look for not that you will get everything that is listed as a possibility.
If it were me??? I would try it to see if it eases symptoms. Lyrica doesn't make any claim to cure anything BUT it sure could go a long way in making your day-to-day life a bit easier and even perhaps more enjoyable...
I wish you well on your journey and hope your doctor finds the underlying cause of your condition. Even having a "name" without a cure can help put things into perspective. At least with a name... you would know more about what you have than ruling out other things...
