Luvox can increase the blood level of Lexapro. This is can cause increased side effects and they'll tell you serotonin syndrome. A good many of us here are on medications that could cause that problem with the combo with no problems. Its rare. The doc can keep the dose of Lexapro down til he sees how you do. Its not a do not use reaction its a be cautious and aware warning.
They need to be prescribed by the same Dr with explicit instructions on if, when & how. That is the best source of an accurate answer for your unique need and would clear up any misinformation for other sources who do not have the information your Dr does.
