I've had a feeling for two years that I had endometriosis so I finally had laparoscopy done and I found that I did. They removed 90% of the endometriosis but what they couldn't remove still is causing pain, are there anything you do to help with the pain?
I have researched this and pain from endometriosis is highly individualistic. For some women taking Advil does the trick; others they have to rely on narcotics like Vicodin (hydrocodone and acetaminophen) or Percocet (oxycodone and acetaminophen.) Talk to your doctor and let him know how severe and unrelenting your pain is, and let him begin a pain management program for you. Be advised that doctors ALWAYS start with the most conservative pill first, so start taking over the counter Advil or Excedrin now. Don't take more than 3,000 mg. of Excedrin/day. All the best, Tony
