A friend of mine has ovarian cancer and has been taking hydrocodone for the pain in her bones. Her doctor is trying to replace the hydrocodone with effexor? Is this common? She was dealing with the pain quite well for 3 years and now wants to change her medication. She was diagnosted in January of 2011 and operated on 2 weeks later. She is now cancer free with little side effects other than the pain in her legs that travel up to the hips? What should she do?
