Not anxiety attacks but nonstop anxiety 24 / 7. What can help can anxiety result in parAnoia
The best meds I have found for anxiety have been benzodiazepines. Such a relief when they kicked in. Unfortunately, the longer u r on them the more tolerance u develop requiring higher doses, and the withdrawal is horrible. I had lots of rebound anxiety & seizures when I stopped
I also have 24/7 aniexty. I take Valium but after being on it for years now, it doesn't help as much. I needed something to add to it or help it. So my doctor first added neurotin which helped a lot but caused weight gain. So yesterday she added buspar and took me off the neurotin. I have heard it takes up to 4 weeks for this medication to work so ill keep u posted. I hope u find something that works for u.
Hi. your answer from me is as follows. Therapist for learning ways to handle it. Psychiatrist to carefully evaluate you. Your meds will be specific to you. Sorry you are feeling more and more intense. Did you know the greatest fear most people have is that they will get anxiety which causes anxiety and sleeplessness? All is driven by fear. What you are talking about is fear that has gone too far. As I told you some time back, please check yourself into a hospital and let them work with you to find a proper medication and therapist. You would be surprised how quickly things can change when you are in a safe place like that.
People can become paranoid from lack of sleep and letting their imagination go wild. It not eating well and no relaxation, that can do it. So can a real underlying chemical imbalance. As much as you want us to help, please go to the experts at a big hospital. They will help you and care for you. Get a ride or call an ambulance. Please do so while you still can make the decision. I know it will help you. It has helped countless others when stuck like you are. Life will be so much better. Karen
Doctors don't like to prescribe them, but benzos are the best med for treating anxiety. I am very much against anti-depressants because they can cause mood swings to worsen. Doctors don't like to prescribe benzodiazopines because the DEA is invading our medical care system, and threatening these doctors. Some have even had their license to practice medicine revoked for "over prescribing" What crap!
I have to say I 1000% agree with karen and elizajane... I was su... and they admitted me right away, and kept me till they got me stable..your have been on here for a while not that I mind answering anyone's ? I love u all..with that being said u keep asking the same ?'s what med worked for u, how long etc... it's obvious you need help and I agree with Karen and Elizajane u need to be admitted and ad eliza said one way of them admitting u is true hearing those words... but with me I really was admitted for trying it and I don't want u to ever get to this point..it's worth a little time away, you will have your own private psychiatrist and counselor, it the hospital u will go to groups on how to cop etc..plus that getting u stablized on the right meds... it's time u have been putting this off for to long and unfortunately we can tell u what helps us but this is just not doing a darn thing for u at all...
take our advice and go inpatient... I don't no where u live, I live in nj and went to a good hospital, and they helped me a lot... I wouldn't be here right now if I didn't call for help... please take our advice and I mean like NOW... my prayers r with u, u r never going to get off this rollercoaster ride to you go inpatient and get the attention and individual attention u need to get through this... good luck..
