I had 2 seizures , complex partial , 4 months ago lasting approx. 30 seconds each. There has been no cause found so I take 300mg of dilantin daily. I just had my aoura , very strong deja vu , and no seizure followed. Does this normally happen?
It can happen. An aura is actually a simple partial seizure itself. Usually, the aura precedes an even bigger seizure, but there are times when only the aura will be experienced. I have had epilepsy for over 30 years and there have been times when I will have auras frequently, but no "seizure" follows. My doctor informed me that the aura IS the seizure. It does not always have to precede a larger, more noticeable seizure. I am also on Dilantin.
