I've had one knee replacement and need the other one replaced. I have RA plus severe degenerative osteoarthritis all over. I continually have cortisone injections and have asked the doctor about "chicken" shots. He said it just doesn't work. His office checked my insurance companies and said it wasn't covered by Medicare or my insurance. I'm told euflexxa is not a considered a "chicken" shot. So, he's never mentioned euflexxa and I'm wondering why. A friend of mine recently told me she had 3 euflexxa injections 2 years ago and is still pain-free in that knee. Would I qualify for euflexxa and should I find another doctor?
