I used to take cymbalta but without elavil. I seem to have tremors and trouble talking, with elavil & wellbutrin, and read that these two together is not safe, because of increased chance of seizures. The elavil gives me a calming effect which makes my depression & nerve pain better. I also take 800 mg of neurontin 3 times per day. I am taking elavil 100mg twice a day.
There is increased chance of seizure with combining the Wellbutrin and any other antidepressant, but this is rare unless you are predisposed to seizures. I take Wellbutrin with another antidepressant and have for years. You can not take Elavil with the Cymbalta however because of the risk, although rare, of serotonin syndrome. If you have tremors and trouble talking with the Wellbutrin, please discuss with your doctor.
