Why can you take diazepam if someone close to you has recently died?

Why wouldn't you be able to? Valium is not particularly habit forming especially in short term use.

I just read in the instructions you cant take diazepam if someone close to you has died and wondered why that was wrote there! I have recently been prescribed diazepam, but I have recently lost a close family member from my immediate family and I am still grieving and wonder how diazepam would affect me as I have never heard of a medicine you cant take because of losing a loved one.
