I get my period usually from the 20th of each month to the 25th, somewhere around there. I got the shot on the 14th of this month, havent started my period, and had unprotected sex for the first time this morning, November 23rd. I was wondering if that was a bad idea. I understand that if you get the shot at the right time during your cycle, the birth control is effective. But how about in my case? Could I get pregnant? My doctor didnt tell me whether I got the shot at the right time or not and I am kind of scared.
You're ok, its 7 days after you get your shot that you're safe. You have to get the shot the first 3 days of your period to have it be effective right away.
