i had a non-epileptic seizure. I was on alproazolam 2mg 3times a day. My doctor suddenly took me off the alproazolam and switched me to Paroxetine. I had another seizure after i have been taking this medication. My doctor promised me that i would not have another seizure again. Can you take alproazolam with paroxetine?
Your suppose to be weaned off of Xanax not just taken off and your taking a high dosage. We're you taking it correctly? Paroxetine won't do anything for seizures you should be weaning your dosage off of Xanax and taking an anti seizure med. paroxetine is an SsRI and won't do anything for your seizures or your withdrawal. I would consult a lawyer bc heaven forbide your driving having a seizure and kill someone or yourself or you die of a grand mal seizure.
Sure you can and your dr should not have stopped it abruptly as it can cause seizures to do that. He can't promise you won't have a seizure, that's like promising the sun won't shine tomorrow, he has no control over it. I think I'd find another dr if he cared that little for you.
