Just wondering if anyone has any idea what the drug company Mallinkroftd did to these great pain relief pills? How did they mess up the chemistry? By removing just the yellow dye, it should not have reduced the potency like it did.
My pharmacist told me the difference is in the binders and fillers. I found that if I chew it (and it does taste awful) it does
work, but it doesn't last as long... Rite Aid signed a contract with this Generic company because of the price :'( the only thing I can do is look for a pharmacy that carries the Yellow ones... I know my yellow ones lasted up to 6 hours... the white ones last about 3 hours if I chew them... and I don't think they work at all if I swallow them whole.
Mallinkroftd in my opinion has really bad Hydrocodone the whites ones are time released and do not work. The yellow are not time released and were highly effective I say were because there not using yellow ones anymore anywhere. The goal obviously is to stop people from abusing them. The problem is while their doing that they are forcing people who suffer to suffer.
In my mind(s) it's double edge sword.
The Yellow dogs are a Harder tablet, so if you miss a dose and you're looking for immediate relief using the sublingual method, it's a pain in, well, neck in my case. Waiting for it to dissolve under your tongue can take a couple extra minutes and the edges are sharp. For rapid relief, I wait until it's about 25% dissolved and then swallow it.
However, if you're vigilant and take them on time before the pain hits, I think that the Hardness is a benefit as it may stay together longer and get past the stomach into your intestine which is where the magic happens. So the Yellow dogs do in fact seem to work better imho.
Regarding the thought that some nefarious character is "stepping on" the White dogs, if you can't TASTE the difference between a 5mg and a 10 mg, well, just check it out sometime, it's pretty obvious.
