I had started taking Yaz and my PMDD almost disappeared for the first two months, but then my symptoms came back on the third month. Why did it stop helping? :(
It is likely that once your body adjusted to the drug, it no longer had the same affect.
If you are not using any hormonal birth control (I don't know if you used Yaz for the PMDD symptoms or whether you needed it for birth control, too), then I can recommend a natural remedy that really helped my pre-menstrual symptoms.
It's called Agnus Castus, & it has made a HUGE difference to my pre-menstrual symptoms! I'm much better when I take this. It's totally natural, but you can't use it with hormonal forms of birth control, because it works to balance your hormones, whereas hormonal birth control deliberately causes an imbalance in your hormones, to stop you getting pregnant. In effect, Agnus Castus could stop your hormonal form of birth control from being effective.
If you can't take AC because you ARE using hormonal birth control, then you might want to get a copy of the book 'Menstrual and Pre-Menstrual Tension (Well Woman)', by Jan de Vries. You can get it on Amazon or other book stores' sites. It's not very expensive. That offers some really good explanations, advice & ideas on how to overcome PMDD. Jan is a fully qualified Pharmacist, too, so you get the benefit of medical & natural advice. He has helped me a great deal.
Hope that helps, as I know how horrible it can be x
