So I have always used Yasmin. I love it, it agrees with me, I don’t gain weight with it. Since I have recently lost my job, Medicaid, does not prescribe Yasmin. I am currently on Apri, and have noticed that I have gained weight, I feel down and want to eat all the time. What can I try out that would be similar to Yasmin? BTW - all generic options are not accepted by insurance.
What can I take instead of Yasmin that would be the most similar in chemical makeup?

Ocella is another generic that has the same hormones as Yasmin & Apri. I took Yasmin for only a short time, it made me crazy depressed. Unfortunately I’ve tried 4 different pills with different main ingredients that also did the same thing... it also depends on what generic your pharmacy carries at the time so the generic name may not always be the same.
