I was just prescribed xyzal today. I forgot to list that I take ambien sometimes. So now I am wondering if it is safe to take them both at bedtime?
Hello gayla88. You need to be cautious when mixing these two drugs together. They will sedate you, make you lathargic and sleepy. Not certain when you'll be taken the Xyzal, but the hypnotic effects of the ambien will be in your system for 8 hours. So, if you were to drive a car, any cognitive or motor functions are going to be impaired, you'll feel doped up. Best space taking them as far apart as possible. and always the possibilty of you having a bad reaction totaking the two. You might ask your doctor or pharmacist to confirm, or get thier opinion, best of wishes, pledge
