My Allergist/Immunologist and my Pulmonologist have both suggested that I look into starting Xolair. I am a 21 year old university student with moderate to sever "Brittle" asthma and moderate Mast Cell Activation Disorder. Studies have shown that Xolair can work for both illnesses though insurance will only cover it for asthma. Has anyone else with these two conditions taken Xolair? Has Xolair helped many of you (even those with just asthma)? Thank you!
What is Mast Cell activation? I have chronic hives n it didn't work 4 me. .my allergist said i was his foray that xolair didn't work so he's gonna try cycolodrine or something like that lol. But i heard xolair works 4 asthma. I'm increased my water n green smoothie intake. Started doing lymphthatic massage. Testing my pH balance.. need2 exercise n eat more foods n veggies. Hives have gotten better.
Be blessed n stay positive
