Hello. What is your doctor giving you to help? I develop mouth sores because I need more folic acid. I also get thrush, which is a yeast infection of the mouth and throat. It coats the tongue as well.
A dry mouth makes you feel like you are constantly thirsty and no saliva to wet your tongue. It is bad for the teeth as well as harboring infections. If you are having sores in the mouth, it should be checked right away. We are not physicians here, and it is unclear if this would be a side effect of one of your medications. Perhaps if listed we could check for you? I do hope you feel better soon. Karen
Folic acid is made as a supplement. You can get a prescription or you can purchase it where the vitamins are found at your store. I take 4 per day, 2 with breakfast and 2 with dinner. It helps. You should notice a difference in about a week if it is going to help. I know if I skip a few days my mouth gets very sore. It is very helpful for suppressed immunity from medications,
What does the ENT have to say? Surely must have some recommendation besides the gum and such. The other problem is that you can have something now you did not have before. new conditions.
