I've been on xanex for about 7 years and haven't done it everyday just here and there. How is the quickest way to get it out of my system in a week?
Jbirdy; The best is have your doctor write out directions for a safe way to come off of it, You just don't stop it you don't really give how many your are taking or strength of the Xanax. But we are not doctors the longer you take to go off of it the better if you have been on it for 7 years. You have to slowly taper yourself down depending on how many you take daily or weekly however you are taking it.Call YOUR doctor if you really need to be off of it in just one week after 7 years if you just stop depending on the dose you could get very bad withdrawal's and also seiziures etc.I really don't think it is possible to have it out of your system in a week when you have been taken it for 7 years already.Feel free to post more info and someone may be able to help But depending on how many and how often trying to stop in a week could cause you some problems. Call your doctor and get a tapering dose and tell him or her you need it out of your system in a week.and see what they say.Best of luck Chuck1957
