Now I'm having vertigo and my Dr. wants to change my med. to Valium. I am afraid to make the change. Can anyone help me?

They are both benzos and have much the same effect. Why are you worried. You probably won't notice allot of difference.
You will be better off with the valium as it stays in your system much longer than xanax. However, if you are not given the proper amount of valium to equal that of the xanax you were taking you may have slight withdrawals. Let your prescribing doctor know right away if you start having problems. I wish you the best.
