i take trazadone an ambien for sleep an i take koloipin for anxiety.trazadone is actualy a antidepressant,my dr told me a low dose 50mg of trazadone helps more wit sleep but a higher does of trazadone will work more for depression an not as much for sleep.maybe u need to up ur mg of trazadone instead of takein fluoxetine
I'm sure the prescribing physician is well aware of the medications he/she prescribes, maybe just take note of the interaction warning between Trazodone & Fluoxetine though. Serotonin syndrome is rare but it can also be very serious. As the guys have said here though, these medications can be taken successfully together with little or no side effects.
Beware of high mgs. of trazadone. 25 wasn't enough for me. 50 was just right. 75 was WAY too high and 100mgs. made me feel like I was a horse knocked out. I woke up in the middle of the night to pee, and I couldn't SEE where I was going. THAT'S how knocked out and out of it I was! Please BEWARE!
