I was taking Nyquil, Albuterol inhaler, Vicodin, Phenergan and Macrodantin; all of which were doctor prescribed. I had to take a drug test which resulted in a false positive of Methamphetamine/Amphetamine, which I absolutely was not taking any such types of street drugs whatsoever. Could this be due the combination of some of the prescibed meds I was taking. Which ones and how do I prove it otherwise?
That's really wierd! Did it even show positive for opiates because of the vicodin you take??? Also, you may want to argue that and tell them (if they don't already) to send your urine out to a lab where there is more accuracy. I'm sorry that happened to you, I hope your position is not in jeopardy. Also, if they use the ones you can buy OTC, they have a tendency to show some inaccuracies. Best of luck, take care.
