Would methyprednisolone work for sinus infection or walking pnemonia?

It would depend on what was causing the infection.
An antibiotic would usually be the first drug of choice for a bacterial sinus infection or pneumonia. Methylprednisolone could possibly be given if you are having breathing difficulties.
See your doctor if you think you have a sinus infection or pneumonia.
