I've been taking Aviane combination birth control pills for a while now - perhaps eight months or so now. I take my pills religiously every single day. This current month I've taken every single pill within five minutes of a set time. The longest time I deviated from this set time was about two and a half hours during my first month taking the pills. Additionally, I have never forgotten a pill in the entire time I've been in birth control. Nevertheless, I'm still very worried about the possibility of pregnancy. I've heard those crazy stories where a woman managed to get pregnant while supposedly taking her birth control perfectly. I was wondering how likely these stories actually are and what my chances of pregnancy seem to be based on my birth control routine. I always manage to convince myself that I could be the "one in a million" case and end up pregnant.
You have less then a 1% chance of pregnancy if you take your pills perfectly. These girls who say they got pregnant on the pill did something wrong. My own daughter got pregnant on the pill, no matter what she knew, she was a scatterbrain lol... missed a pill here and there. All it takes is missing pills or going on antibiotics.
