I am not allowed tylenol anymore so I was switched to vicoprophen and that is not working more than 5 minutes. I currently take 300 mg of gabapentin with vicoprophen. Most of the time there is no relief but occasionally it helps for about 5 minutes. I'm not interested in tramadol or anything like it nor non narcotic. I have 5 tendons damaged as well as disc damage and nerve damage. Also when I don't take the hydrocodone I get aweful foot cramps when I try to sleep day or night. I want something that actually works and I won't have to double or triple up on. I tried up to a 2 month break and when I started hydrocodone again it still didn't help. I can not have tylenol.
What would work better than vicoprophen for back pain, tendon pain, and nerve damage??

Also my fingers are stuck bent and will NOT go straight because the tendons healed to scar tissue. Being stuck like that plus feeling that much pain puts me in very very bad panic attacks. Please don't bother with therapy answers because it will NOT unbend them the tendons are now a part of the surgery scars.
I agree with Kaismama about the gabapentin, it has help my nerve damage in my foot , I started taken 300mg 3X daily, then toke 600mg 3X daily now I'm up to 900mg 3X daily. I can touch & massage my foot now. yes I have dry mouth but I rather have dry mouth than pain. I not saying it take all the pain way but it makes my life more comfortable. I also take Nucynta ER 50mg every 12hrs. for pain. I don't know what you need for your pain. Talk to your Dr.
