I only take a half of .5mg tablet and then a whole one before I go to bed. I actually use xanax for sleeping. The psych told me that if I used it for that purpose, the "anti-anxiety" properties wouldn't work. But, I don't care because sleeping meds make me sleep walk and OTC sleep meds make my legs crazy! I sometimes run out before my script is due and I'm wondering if the body pains I feel are from just stopping that small dose, or is it maybe just restlessness? No seizures, but the insomnia might make me wish I did! Four nights I did not sleep until my Rx was filled and then finally... Anyway, just wondering after reading all the other posts of withdrawal.
Luigi; From what you are saying above it does sound more like withdrawals from running out you need to get the doctor to come to some agreement that you can take so many a day and stick with that so you don't run out or you are going to go through this every month and that would not be fun So when you see the doctor again you should get the directions for the Alprazolam to match how many pills the doctor give you to last the month. good luck and be careful..
