Im trying to go cold turkey, I never needed percs (90 mg) for medicinal use, just drug use. But day one and two are just awful on my back and my legs. I'm 21 years old and im not in bad shape but this pain isn't tolerable. Please give me advice because I keep relapsing. I haven't been strong enough to make it past day one... I dont need to stop, but I got to the point that I want to. Also I work 40 hours a week on my feet all day. It's so hard and I need help.
Maybe you would benefit from a taper off the percs rather than cold turkey. You could avoid most of the withdrawals that way. It takes determiantion but would be happy to help you. Otherwise, I recommend you google the Thomas recipe for opiate withdrawal. It is a list of mostly over-the-counter medicines to have while going through withdrawals. If you continue the cold turkey, you are going to feel quite bad the first week then it will gradually get better. If you have to work, again, I recommend a slow taper so you can continue to work. If not, then maybe you can get some time off until you are through the worst of the withdrawals.
There are many wonderful people on this site. We are here to support your efforts. If you would like a taper plan, I would be willing to help.
