What are the withdrawal affects of lamectil and how do you get off it?
Depending on how much and for how long you've been taking, Lamictal being a mood stabilizer and antiepileptic should not be stopped abruptly. You really need to discuss with the prescribing doctor as he/she knows the particulars of your case.
"Discontinuation of Lamictal should involve a step-wise reduction of dose over at least 2 weeks (approximately 50% per week) unless safety concerns require a more rapid withdrawal [see Warnings and Precautions (5.9)]." The use of other medications along with the Lamictal affect how it is to be tapered as well.
