A few days ago, I was checked for Sleep Apnea while taking Trazodone, and was hard- wired to about to about 20 electrodes. It was a torture to go to the bathroom. I could not believe it that these days while NASA could monitor astronouts on the moon the Sleep Clinics clinics are so primitive.
Wireless testing for Sleep Apnea?
Added 19 Oct 2010:
As I understand it, 10% of the U. S. population suffer from some sort of Sleep Apnea. How do I find a Sleep Disorder Clinic, in my area (Raleigh, NC) that uses wirless messeging from a transmitter mounted on the patient to either a receiver in the room or all the way to the computer?
Added 28 Oct 2010:
Notice that I am not talking about any specific sleep disorder but about the wires connected to the patient during the test. Some sleep doctors say that they would have problems with the signals loosing information when sent wirelessly. I don't really buy it. Do you?
Hi i assume you're talking about CPAP? Some people require the use of a breathing machine called CPAP - continuous positive airway pressure. CPAP delivers the air through a nasal or face-mask under pressure. When adjusted properly and tolerated, it is nearly 100% effective in eliminating or reducing obstructive sleep apnea.
