I suggest you do contact your Dr. tomorrow and let him / her know about what you are experiencieng:
List of possible side effects for future reference:
All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Soma:
Dizziness; drowsiness; headache.
Seek medical attention right away if any of these SEVERE side effects occur when using Soma:
Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue; hoarseness); fainting; fast heartbeat; fever, chills, or persistent sore throat; loss of coordination; mood or mental changes (eg, agitation, depression, irritability); seizures; severe or persistent dizziness; severe or persistent trouble sleeping; tremors.
This is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur. If you have questions about side effects, contact your health care provider. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. To report side effects to the appropriate agency, please read the Guide to Reporting Problems to FDA.
You may also report side effects to the FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088 (1-800-332-1088).
I'm no doctor but I am currently prescribed Soma at bedtime and I am having extremely STRANGE, vivid nightmares. I plan on calling my doctor and informing him on Monday. I believe Soma is the cause. I also have interrupted sleep due to the nightmares, its no longer worth taking. Back to Flexeril!
Yes it does! I don't care that it's not on the listed side affects. Those are clinical tests done on a certain sample size. Those tests do not pick up all affects possible. I have been taking it for almost 3 yrs. The dreams are VIVID, sometimes extremely bizarre. If I'm off the drug, they stop.
Ive started taking them because I built a tolerance to Valium (the best muscle relaxer I've tried). I'm now remembering why I switched- the vivid dreams and/or nightmares. I haven't had a nightmare yet, but the vivid ones are just as perplexing, because they're so vivid. I need relief, and NONE of the others work so I deal with it, but I could see how others couldn't. Good luck.
