I was offered robaxin, and I perfer soma will it do the same thing
Robaxin contains a muscle relaxant and Soma contains a muscle relaxant and a pain relief (aspirin) so it is likely that Soma gives better pain control.
You could take aspirin or another anti-inflammatory with Robaxin if it helps you. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist and they will be able to recommend something.
Robaxin (methocarbamol) is a muscle relaxant. It works by blocking nerve impulses (or pain sensations) that are sent to your brain.
Robaxin is used together with rest and physical therapy to treat skeletal muscle conditions such as pain or injury.
Soma Compound (aspirin and carisoprodol)
Aspirin is in a class of drugs called salicylates. Aspirin works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain and inflammation. It is used to reduce pain, inflammation, and fever.
Carisoprodol is a muscle relaxant. It works by blocking nerve impulses (or pain sensations) that are sent to the brain.
The combination of aspirin and carisoprodol is used, along with rest and physical therapy, to treat injuries and other painful muscular conditions.
