Will metaxalone work for an injury in my knee? I have a torn ligament and the pain is unbearable?

Depending on your pain levels it may work, Metaxalone works with the brain blocking nerve impulses to relieve pain. It is a muscle relaxer. I would speak with your doctor on what he recommends for your pain, if it is unbearable he may recommend something different.

Hey ghanley,

May not be the best choice as ligaments connect bones and aren't going to be as affected by a muscle relaxer such as metaxalone. Worth a try, but may want to talk to the doctor for an alternative such as a nonsteroidal anti inflammatory.

Best wishes,
