John, my main concern IS with the antidepressant and mixing alcohol with it because alcohol is a depressant so really it's not doing her much good the doctor should know about this you could put a call into the doctor and let him or her know but they are working against each other. You could ask the doctor to keep this between you and the doctor but you know the wife is not going to say anything. If the doctor is aware of it, they may just cut the dose down some. But don't let them just stop it because she well get nasty withdrawal from it.But you decide the less alcohol the better but if it's just a drink or two in the evening it's not near as bad if she is taking the Citalopram in the morning. But this is a lot like butting heads with the too. feel free to check back anytime this is what we are here for Read what my friend masso put down and it's really up to you. It could be worse but I don't know how much she is really drinking lucky it's this one and not one of the other antidepressants that could really do some harm.all my best sir, your between a rock and a hard spot.
